Blue Grass Army Depot Prescribed Burn, 5 March 2010
I joined up with folks from the BGAD, KDFWR, and TNC to volunteer on a prescribed burn on a couple of their native grassland restoration sites. On site we had 4 UTVs outfitted with 100 gal water tanks, several drip torches, various hand tools, and a back up engine provided by the Depot. The weather cooperated and the burns were a success. It total, we burned about 50 - 60 acres.
