His primary focuses have been Section 7 Endangered Species surveys and coordination and Waters of the United States surveys and permitting including extensive work with both streams and wetlands. His field expertise includes the identification of bats, reptiles, amphibians, and rare plants. As regular participation in the scientific community is of great importance to Copperhead Environmental Consulting, Mr. Sewell’s volunteer work for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife’s Indiana bat hibernacula surveys and regular participation in Morehead State University graduate student research projects fit in well with our company vision. When time allows, Mr. Sewell conducts educational programs for local schools, scouting troops, university classes, and nature parks to help raise awareness of ecological diversity & sensitivity and to promote responsible ecological stewardship.
