Aquatic Ecology Surveys

Copperhead Consulting, Inc. maintains an experienced aquatic ecology staff capable of providing a broad array of aquatic services, including freshwater fish and mussel surveys, benthic macroinvertebrate collections, stream habitat assessments, and restoration planning. Our biologists are knowledgeable in the identification of aquatic organisms including threatened and endangered species and our staff includes divers with Open Water SCUBA, Rescue Diver, and Master Diver certifications.

Our biologists are experienced in the methodologies employed in aquatic ecology studies and we have a variety of equipment used for aquatic sampling including backpack electroshockers, seins, minnow and aquatic herptofauna traps, macroinvertebrate sampling equipment, SCUBA equipment, and boats. Our SCUBA equipment includes underwater voice communication systems which ensure both safety and efficient work.
