Botany and Wetlands Surveys
Copperhead Consulting has a dedicated botanical and wetland team led by a botanist with a Ph.D. in Plant Biology and a M.S. in Natural Resource Policy and Administration.
We have completed surveys on individual threatened/endangered plant species as well as multi-taxa surveys (from bryophytes to dendrophytes) for municipal and federal government agencies. With extensive training in wetland plant identification, wetland soil characteristics, and wetland hydrology, our staff is well qualified to identify and delineate wetlands and make recommendations for jurisdictional determination to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Our wetland biologists have received certified training on wetland delineation using the 1987 Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and have conducted wetland identification, delineation, and impact mitigation for highway projects, airport construction projects, and state Justice Cabinet projects.
Our staff has also received training and has experience in the planning and construction of wildlife ponds and wetlands.
